AllPiercings.com - The Body jewelry Superstore

Late last year, while searching high and low for some new
Body Jewelry [Ed.Yep, I know, but to each their own] online,
Dawn Olsen came to the conclusion that there just weren't
any sites out there that either carried what she wanted, or
looked "professional enough" for her to even consider
entering her credit card number.

"I was really disappointed", Dawn said, "All the sites I
found either looked like a dungeon, with dark, gothic
themes, or look like they had been put together by my
paperboy. I guess I was looking for a 'Amazon.com' type of
shopping experience. I didn't get it."

That little shopping misadventure got Dawn's creative
juices flowing. A long-time fan of unique and creative Body
Jewelry designs, Dawn knew there was a market for a truly
professional approach, she just needed the right design
direction.

Luckily, Dawn had an ace in the hole. Her husband, Erik, a
full-time Internet marketer since 2000, took Dawn's idea and
"took it up a notch".

"The key", Erik said with the enthusiasm of someone who
obviously loves what he does, "is to find a relatively
unexploited niche, and build absolutely the best
design/system/process that you possibly can."

"I took a look at what everyone else was doing right, and
what, in my opinion they were doing wrong, and went from
there." he continued. "From what I saw, there are a lot of
folks selling the same products, in the same way, using
virtually identical systems. I wanted something different".

It seems something different discarding any "off the shelf"
ecommerce shopping cart systems. "They all had pro's and
cons" Erik says, "but they all force you to either use a
cookie-cutter template system, or force you to pay too much
for too little. To be honest, if I have to spend that kind
of money, I want it to be for something that is one of a
kind, and unavailable to anyone else. In short, I want it
built to MY specifications."

After 3 months of development, programming, designing (and
redesigning) their system, Erik deemed it "worthy".

Opening up for business in Mid-August, Dawn and Erik were
delighted to make their first sale literally within hours.

"It doesn't usually happen that way" Erik explained, "but I
had a small pay-per-click campaign ready to go as soon as I
pushed the button. I guess I just wanted to prove to my wife
that our business model is a viable one. Our first sale
marked our conversion rate at 4%, which is much higher than
average. of course, our shelves are relatively bare [Ed.
only 20-30 items had been uploaded to the site at launch,
with over 200 due to be added in the coming weeks], but
within about 4-6 months, we should be unstoppable"

Note: We'll be following up on Erik & Dawn's progress in the
coming month's. Stay tuned!
