>> Marketing >> Who's That Knocking At Your Door?
The world of internet marketing-search engines, email newsletters, opt-in lists, codes, banners, etc. There are myriads of choices and then a few more to choose from.
Everyone is trying it - and many will succeed. It seems, however, that even if you don't find a niche on the internet, you can still enjoy the experience. There is, most assuredly, a lot of competition and it is increasing with each day. If you have a product/service, someone out there also has it. Maybe it is not exactly the same, but pretty close to what you are currently marketing.
The statistics don't seem to go in your favor, so you try every new offering from "those in the know." You can spend literally thousands of dollars to be put in the top ranking of search engines, to have auto-responders answer each and every visitor's questions or to send out your newsletter. All these options are out there - but they cost money. If you are not making any money on the internet, you are just generating a cash loss instead of a cash flow. So what can you do?
Stand behind your product or service. If you are proud of it, others will be too. Offer a guarantee of satisfaction, because you know it is a trustworthy, and viable entity. If you sincerely, deep down in the bottom of your ego, know that this product/service will help, delight, or make life better or easier for others, don't cringe from the competition-stand up to it. You know its good - and that's the first step. It's the first hurdle on a path of many bridges, elevations, valleys, etc. Persistance at promotion, as well as that age-old adage of faith comes into play. Believe that others will find out how beneficial your product/service is, visualize the success you can achieve, and dream about the future. If you play into negativity, you can spend all the money you want on features for your site and still come up on the deficit side. Dare to dream success and success will find its way to your online shoppe. Doubt, worry, and fret and the next time opportunity comes looking for someone, the shades on your windows will be drawn and the "closed" sign will be hanging in your door. There is an old saying that many people do not recognize opportunity when it comes around because it likes to disguise itself as hard work. Look past the costume it wears, and let the bright lights and radiance of confidence draw it into your doorway. It's really up to you - so
ENJOY!
